Learning Digital: Digitizing the Voter Education Project (VEP) Organizational Records, August 16, 2023

A presentation about a recently digitized selection of archival materials from the Voter Education Project (VEP), an Atlanta-based, non-partisan, non-profit organization that undertook large-scale voter registration, voter turnout, and voter education campaigns in eleven southern states. Beyond the speaker merely presenting the unique historical significance offered by my digitized selection of VEP materials, the presentation discussed the numerous lessons, insights, and values offered by learning about the overall digitization process. Throughout the 12-week internship, the intern received invaluable experience and connections across multiple disciplines that will carry with them throughout their career.
