Abstract
A presentation about the historical significance of the Voter Education Project (VEP), an organization dedicated to funding and hosting voter registration drives and educational programs not only in Atlanta but across eleven Southern states. This presentation details the intern's experience selecting and digitizing materials from VEP and sheds light on some of the challenges and successes in this work while outlining the new skills gained over the summer. Although only 12 weeks, the internship has positively impacted their relationship with archives as they continue to consider future career paths.
